Options would have driven performance up and prices down.I would say to give it some time and do a real world challenge. Unplug your xfinity, rely on tmobile only and give it a few weeks/month. That will be the best way to know if "it's worth it" or not. Tmobile is going to be much less forgiving when it comes to peak times and usage..
